Big Round Beads for Jewellery Making

All you need to create this Spring's strongest jewellery making trend is some lovely big round shiny beads, a piece of satin ribbon and a few spacers.
Here is what we came up with choosing from Bluestreak Beads fab range of large acrylic beads.
Remember to choose spacers with big enough holes, and trim the ribbon to a point so that you can push it through with a big fat needle or a piece of wire.

Burnished Silver Beads

We are adding to our range of gorgeous burnished silver beads. There are three hearts from 25mm through 40mm and a nice big flat oval bead measuring a whopping 46mm long, added to that are a small round bead and a 12mm puff disc bead.

The hearts make great pendants on thir own either on thong or chain.

The little discs would make a classy pair of earrings.

Silver Lockets & Beads

Look at these dinky little silver plated lockets. I can't wait to start designing with them. You could add the little lockets in bunches to charm bracelets or make simple little mobile phone & bag charms from them. I like to add a bead or two at the end of extension chain on necklaces and bracelets I have made. I think I'll try popping a beaded locket on the end of my jewellery designs this weekend. I bet lots of you girls have drawers and caskets full of jewllery you have made but don't wear anymore and old pieces you have bought in the past that have fallen out of favour. Get out your jerwellery pliers and cut them up, then put them back together with some brand new beads for a fresh 2009 look.

Little Tubes of Glass Beads

Bluestreak Beads have got lots of new beads in stock this week including these tubes of Miyuki glass seed beads in a great selection of colour mixes just perfect for making jewellery. I like them because these handy little tubes are an easy way to add lots of beads in different colours to your jewellery making storeroom. Use miyuki seed beads on stretch magic elastic to make beaded bracelets or simply string the beads onto a long piece of flexrite beading wire to make a beaded lariat.

Friday morning at Bluestreak Beads and we want to get everyone's orders out in time for the postman to deliver on Saturday morning! Claire our chief picker is enjoyng the sunshine in Norfolk so Ashlea is going to have to work extra hard today.
We've got some lovely new beads in for your pandora style bracelets. I like the piglet charm best, he looks neat nestling between a couple of the glass beads.
